Laurel County, Ky. - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff’s Deputy Josh Scott is investigating a theft that occurred at Pit Stop grocery store approximately 2 miles west of London off KY 192 at Parker Road on Thursday night February 14, 2019 at approximately 11:12 PM.
The investigating deputy reports that apparently a male and female subject entered the store and while the attendant went to a rear room to fix a toilet, the male subject went behind the counter stealing 2 moneybags with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The two individuals then fled the scene in a red colored SUV or minivan.
Video surveillance throughout the store captured numerous images of the man and woman and one image showed the male subject behind the counter stealing the money bags.
