Woman accused of creating a disturbance jailed on 6 charges / Laurel County

Laurel County, Ky. (February 8, 2019) -  Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff’s Deputy Shannon Jones along with Sgt. John Inman and Deputy Josh Morgan arrested an individual off West Laurel Road early Friday morning February 8, 2019 at approximately 12:16 AM.

Arrested was:

Carla S. Mounts age 40 of London.

The arrest occurred off West Laurel Road, approximately 6 miles west of London after deputies were dispatched to assist Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County with a female subject creating a disturbance with their personnel there.

Upon arrival at the scene deputies noted that this female subject was sitting outside yelling and cursing and creating a disturbance there.

When deputies attempted to calm the subject down, she clenched her fists and began threatening officers there and during her arrest she briefly struggled with deputies before spitting on one of the deputies there.

This subject was charged with:

  • Public Intoxication – Controlled Substances
  • Assault – 4th Degree
  • Assault – Third-Degree – Police Officer is Victim – Non-Communicable Bodily Fluid
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Menacing
  • Disorderly Conduct – Second-Degree.
  • This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
