Driver lands behind bars in Clay County after a traffic stop for Failure to Dim Lights

Clay County, Ky. -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that : While providing extra patrol on January 31, 2019 Clay County Sheriff Deputy Deputy Houston observed a motor vehicle traveling in the opposite lane and failing to dim the lights of the vehicle.

Arrested was:

Andrew Henson age 24 of Williamstown Road.

The arrest occurred at approximately 10:30 P.M. on Highway 80 after Deputy Tommy Houston initiated a traffic stop on the above named subject and upon contact with the driver he showed signs of being impaired.

Deputy Tommy Houston conducted a field sobriety test on the driver in which he failed.

Henson was charged with:

  • Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Drugs/Alc. Etc. .08 1st Offense
  • Failure of Non Owner Operator to Maintain Required Insurance 1st
  • Failure to Dim Lights
  • This subject was lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
