Two arrests at the Laurel County Sheriff’s office in London

LONDON, KY -  Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Kyle Gray along with Detective James Sizemore and Sheriff John Root, Capt. Kevin Berry, Sgt. Brett Reeves, and Bailiff Jacklyn Johnson arrested two female subjects at the Laurel County Sheriff’s office in London on Monday, January 14, 2019 at approximately 11:16 AM.

The arrests occurred after one of the two individuals traveled to the Sheriff’s office to conduct business and the other female subject accompanied her. While at the Sheriff’s office, the two individuals were determined to be under the influence of drugs.

In addition, one of the female subjects created a disturbance there with the other female subject. Also one of the female subjects was found in possession of needles and a crystal like substance believed to be methamphetamine.

The two arrested individuals were identified as:

  • Tiffany Ann Blevins age 28 of Clark Range, Tennessee charged with public intoxication – controlled substances; disorderly conduct – second-degree.
  • Lorene Francis Smith age 40 of London charged with possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine; public intoxication – controlled substances; possession of drug paraphernalia – this subject was found with nine needles and a crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine.
  • These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County detention center.
