Fugitive arrest at Manchester Memorial Hospital

Manchester, Ky. Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting: Clay County Sheriff Deputy Brandon Edwards along with Deputy Coty Arnold arrested an individual at Manchester Memorial Hospital on January 13, 2019 at approximately 3:30 AM.

Johnny Asher age 37 of Richmond

The arrest occurred at Manchester Memorial Hospital when the above mentioned subject refused medical treatment from the hospital after calling for an ambulance due to shortness of breathe.

Deputy Brandon Edwards determined that Johnny Asher was manifestly under the influence and was a danger to himself and others.

After the subjects name and identifiers was ran through Clay County 911 it was confirmed that he also had a Clay County Circuit Court Warrant on Indictment for Assault 1st Degree, the above mentioned subject was wanted by the Kentucky State Police with full extradition.

Johnny Asher was charged with Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (excludes alcohol) and Clay County Circuit Indictment.

Assisting at the scene was Manchester City Police Officer Ryan Jackson, Manchester City Police Officer Antonio Dodson and Kentucky State Police Trooper Logan Wolfe.
