Wanton Endangerment arrest / Knox County

Knox County, KY (Thursday, November 1, 2018) - The Knox County Sheriff's Department is reporting that: On October 18, 2018 at approximately 11:15 A.M. Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith received a call from the owner of Children’s Play Palace Daycare in Heidrick stating that some men had found a small child walking near the railroad tracks and brought it to the daycare. Deputy Claude Hudson was dispatched to the daycare.

Deputy Hudson learned that three men saw the 3 year old child walking alone on Manchester Street near the railroad tracks wearing only underwear.

Due to the child not being able to tell Deputy Hudson where he lived, a neighborhood canvass was initiated. While checking a near-by residence, Deputy Hudson knocked loudly on the front door and a window for several minutes, but received no response.

When Deputy Hudson walked around to the rear of the residence, he observed the back door was open. Deputy Hudson observed a female asleep on the couch and after several attempts to awaken the female failed, Knox EMS was notified.

Deputy Hudson was finally able to awaken the female before EMS arrived. Deputy Hudson also observed a tray containing a marijuana cigarette, a pipe used to smoke marijuana, and a pill crusher located near the passed out female.

The female, Tessia Timmie Jordan age 20 of Barbourville, KY was identified as the mother of the child in question and she identified the father as Jacob Wilson.

She was arrested and charged with Wanton Endangermebnt-2nd Degree, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The child was turned over to the Department of Social Services.

On November, 1 2018 Knox County Deputy Claude Hudson arrested Jacob Wayne Wilson age 20 of Barbourville, KY charging him with Wanton Endangerment-2nd Degree, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
