Two Students in Custody Following School Threat in Estill County

IRVINE, Ky. (October 4, 2018) – The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was contacted on Monday, October 1st by Estill County authorities, and asked to investigate an alleged threat that was called into Estill County High School.

The initial investigation alleges that two juveniles made a phone call to Estill County School personnel reporting that there was someone shooting at the school. As a result of the ongoing investigation, two juveniles were taken into custody by KSP Post 7 investigators yesterday afternoon, and lodged in the Breathitt County Juvenile Detention Center charged with Terroristic Threating 3rd Degree and Falsely Reporting an Incident.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Detective Austin Brashear.
