LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Crash Reconstructionist Deputy Brad Mink along with other Sheriff's investigators investigated a 2 vehicle single fatal traffic crash on KY 192, approximately 5 miles west of London at 11:26 a.m., Thursday, December 26th, 2024.
Investigators report that apparently an off-road buggy driven by Charles King age 24 of London crossed the center line colliding head-on with a westbound Toyota SUV driven by Monty Turner age 69 of London.
Charles King was transported to a local hospital by Ambulance Inc of Laurel county and pronounced deceased by Laurel County Coroner Doug Bowling a short time later.
Monty Turner was also taken to the hospital by personal vehicle for treatment of injuries.
Assisting at the scene was Laurel County Fire Department, and London-Laurel County Rescue Squad.
