Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested Elmer Ray Moore age 58 of Lexington on Saturday afternoon September 1, 2018 at approximately 1:24 PM.
The arrest occurred on I– 75 approximately 3 miles north of London after Deputy Cloyd found a maroon colored Chevrolet S-10 pick up had allegedly been driving from side to side of the interstate striking the guard rail several times.
An investigation was conducted on the driver who was determined to be under the influence.
In addition the driver was found in possession of Xanax powder he said he crushed for snorting. The driver was charged with reckless driving; operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense; possession of controlled substance – first degree – first offense; and other violations and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
