Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Taylor McDaniel arrested Robert Kazee, 39, Foster Heights London, Ky, on July 23rd, 2018, at approximately 3:50 PM.
The arrest occurred on Green Acres Road, 8 miles south of London. Deputy McDaniel responded to a complaint that Kazee was walking down the road, screaming and causing a disturbance.
When Deputy McDaniel arrived, he located Kazee in the roadway. Deputy McDaniel advised Kazee he was under arrest and instead of complying, Kazee took his shirt off and began to fight with Deputy McDaniel.
Deputy McDaniel was finally able to get Kazee into his cruiser and while in route to the jail, Kazee began kicking the windows of the cruiser. Deputy McDaniel was forced to stop on the roadway and subdue Kazee. During this time, Kazee assaulted Deputy McDaniel and Major Chuck Johnson.
Kazee was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center charged with: Public Intoxication, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree, Menacing, and 2 counts of Assault 3rd Degree-Police Officer.
