KSP Investigates Fatal Collision in Garrard County



LANCASTER, Ky. –The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was called on Sunday, July 8, 2018 just after 2:00 pm, in reference to a two vehicle collision that occurred on US-27, south of Lancaster in Garrard County.

The initial investigation indicates that Archie Cobb, 79 years old, was attempting to turn left from a parking lot onto US-27, and drove into the path of a vehicle that was traveling south, operated by Bryan Sparks, 27 years old of Junction City. The two vehicles collided in the southbound lane, and came to final rest in the roadway. As a result of the collision, Bryan Sparks was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene by the Garrard County Coroner’s Office.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Post 7 Trooper David Hobbs.
