KSP Investigates Deadly Shooting in Lee County

BEATTYVILLE, Ky. (June 29, 2018) – The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was called just before 7:00 PM last night in reference to a shooting that occurred outside of a residence on Spencer Fork Road in a rural portion of Lee County.

The initial investigation indicates two brothers had a disagreement, that led to one of them retrieving a firearm and fatally shooting the other brother.

The victim, Forest S. Lee, 26 years old of Beattyville was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Lee County Corner.

The alleged shooter left the scene on an ATV, which was later recovered by law enforcement after it was found abandoned.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, Anthony S. Lee, 20 years old of Beattyville was arrested this morning and is lodged in Three Forks Regional Jail charged with Murder, Arson, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Fleeing or Evading Police, and two counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Post 7 Detective Austin Brashear. He was assisted at the scene by KSP Personnel, Beattyville PD and the Lee County Coroner.
