Indictment arrest for Drugs and Fleeing Police--Laurel County

Laurel County, KY -  Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective James Sizemore along with Maj. Chuck Johnson, Capt. Kevin Berry, Deputy Travis Napier, and Deputy Josh Morgan arrested Mark Davidson age 53 Gamecock Rd., East Bernstadt on Wednesday afternoon June 20, 2018 at approximately 3:45 PM.

The arrest occurred off Gamecock Road, approximately 6 miles north of London after deputies attempted to arrest this subject on a Laurel Circuit Court drug indictment warrant of arrest.

When this subject saw deputies he attempted to flee and struggled with deputies upon arrest.

Mark Davidson was charged on a Laurel Circuit Court indictment warrant charging trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense; conspiracy to traffic in controlled substance – first offense; possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition, this subject was charged with fleeing or evading police – second degree – on foot; resisting arrest.

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
