Subject that made threats on social media to kill Knox County Police officers arrested

Knox County, KY (Tuesday April 24, 2018) - The Knox County Sheriff's Department is reporting that: On Saturday April 21st and Sunday April 22, 2018 Timothy Roark posted threats to kill all Knox County Police Officers on his Facebook. 

Timothy Roark also stated that he would kill an individually named Barbourville Police Officer on the Knox County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.

A Knox County Arrest Warrant was obtained charging Timothy Roark with Terroristic Threatening 3rd degree.

Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith and Deputies checked several locations in an attempt to execute the arrest warrant.

On Monday April 23, 2018 at approximately 8:05 pm Knox County Deputy Mikey Ashurst located and arrested Timothy L. Roark age 29 of Barbourville, KY without incident at a residence on Stephen Trace Road south of Barbourville.

Timothy Roark was also wanted on a Whitley County Bench Warrant for failure to pay the fine on an Operating on Suspended or Revoked Operators License charge.

Timothy Roark was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center
