Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Brad Mink arrested Shaofei Cheng age 47 of Seattle, Washington on Saturday morning March 10, 2018 at approximately 8:30 AM.
The arrest occurred on US 25 at the intersection of Ky 490 approximately 4 miles north of London after Deputy Mink was dispatched to a complaint of a male subject standing in the middle of the intersection throwing objects at passing vehicles, and possibly aiming a firearm at passing cars.
Upon arrival at the scene Deputy Mink located the suspect at the intersection and following an investigation determined that he was under the influence.
The suspect was unable to speak English and was found with no identification.
Shaofei Cheng was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center charged with disorderly conduct – first-degree and public intoxication – controlled substances.
