KSP Employee Named Top Driver’s License Examiner By National Group

FRANKFORT, Ky.  - Chasity Perry, a certified driver test administrator with the Kentucky State Police Driver Testing Branch, has been named 2017 International Driver Examiner Certification (IDEC) Outstanding Examiner of the Year by the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA).

A resident of Carlisle, Ky., Perry is a 12-year veteran of the Kentucky State Police. She joined the Driver Testing Branch in Sept. of 2005 and her primary assignment is to conduct Security Threat Assessments for commercial motor drivers wishing to obtain and/or maintain their HAZMAT endorsement. In this role, she is responsible for the western part of the state which encompasses 30 counties.

The award is based upon letters that were submitted to AAMVA by IDEC participating jurisdictions on behalf of their nominees. Each year the IDEC Board recognizes one examiner that has gone above and beyond his or her duties as a driver examiner. This year's recipient was chosen for her integrity and unwavering commitment to her job, co-workers and customers.

“Chasity is a tremendous person who puts service above self,” says Capt. Chris Steward, commander of the KSP Driver Testing Branch in Frankfort. “She constantly goes above and beyond what is required of her and is deserving of this award. Chasity is a true example of the quality people that make up the Kentucky State Police Driver Testing Branch.”

Perry will receive her award at the 2018 AAMVA Annual International Conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 21-23, 2018.
