Three vehicle injury crash on U.S. 25 E - Laurel County

Laurel County, KY -  Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Josh Scott and Deputy Brandon Broughton assisted by Kentucky State Police investigated a three vehicle multiple injury traffic crash which occurred on Stewart Rd. at the intersection of US 25E on Saturday morning March 3, 2018 at approximately 11:20 AM.

The investigating deputy reports that apparently a gray colored Jeep Commander traveling eastbound on US 25 E collided with a blue colored Mercury Sable who was on North Stewart Road traveling through the intersection of US 25 E.

The Jeep Cmdr. then struck the corner of a third vehicle-- a tractor-trailer that was also on Stewart Road traveling through the intersection of US 25 E.

• The gray colored Jeep Commander was driven by Tonya Cornett age 35 of Corbin with a passenger Angel Rhodes age 26 and a 10-year-old male juvenile-- all were taken to an area hospital for treatment of possible injuries
• The blue colored Mercury Sable was driven by Austin Huff age 27 of Gray, Ky– taken to an area hospital for treatment of possible injuries
• The driver of tractor trailer--Leslie Hughes age 47 of Muskegon Heights Michigan – uninjured with a passenger Cindy Hughes age 52 – uninjured.

Assisting at the scene of the crash was Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County, and West Knox Volunteer Fire Department.
