Receiving Stolen Property arrests - Knox County

Knox County, KY - On Sunday February 25, 2018 Deputy Sam Mullins received a call through Knox Dispatch from a victim of a burglary in Laurel County.

The victim had information that his stolen property was located Knox County. After conducting an investigation, Deputy Mullins recovered numerous items taken from the burglary at a residence on Youngs Creek Road in Corbin.

The items recovered included a gas operated auger, chain saw, leaf lower, skill saw and grinder. There were also several stolen items, including jewelry located inside a vehicle belonging to Tommy Thompson.

Deputy Mullins arrested Tommy R. Thompson age 38 of Corbin, KY charging him with Receiving Stolen Property, Public Intoxication Controlled Substance and Impersonating a Peace Officer.

A second person, Michael D. Young age 34 of Corbin, KY was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property.

Tommy Thompson and Michael Young were lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
