Kentucky State Police make drug arrest in Harlan County

Dayhoit, Ky. - On February 3, 2018 at approximately 3:00 a.m. Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan received a complaint on an individual who was operating a white Nissan Altima trafficking drugs at an apartment complex in Harlan County.

Trooper Sidney Wagner observed the white Nissan Altima turning onto US Hwy 119 and initiated his emergency lights in attempt to stop the vehicle. The operator, Tyler Gross, 28, of Wallins, pulled over at the Dayhoit Trailer Park.

Trooper Wagner obtained consent from Mr. Gross and a search of the vehicle revealed $371.00 cash, 20 grams of crystal meth, several other prescription medications, needles, and guns.

Mr. Gross was arrested and charged with DUI, trafficking controlled substance and several traffic related charges. He was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center. Case is still under investigation by Tpr. Wagner.
