Laurel County couple accused of sexual misconduct with a juvenile runaway

Laurel County, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Chris Edwards along with Detective Sgt Kevin Berry, Deputy Gary Mehler, and Deputy Daniel Grigsby arrested two individuals on Thursday morning January 18, 2018 at approximately 9:46 A.M..

The arrests occurred off Willie Cheek Road, approximately 10 miles east of London after the Sheriff's office developed information on the wherabouts of a missing juvenile and conducted an investigation learning that two adults allegedly had sex with the underage juvenile runaway.

Upon arrival investigators learned that 2 individuals had allegedly subjected the underage juvenile to sexual contact while smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol with the juvenile.

In addition, the couples three young children were in the residence at the time.

Arrested was:

  • Dustin Travis Jackson age 28 of London charged with rape – first-degree; custodial interference – felony; 3 counts of criminal abuse – first-degree
  • Chelsea R. Jackson age 26 of London charged with sodomy – first-degree; custodial interference – felony; 3 counts of criminal abuse – first-degree.
  • These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
