Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Shannon Jones along with Sgt. John Inman arrested Amber Morgan age 36 of London early Saturday morning November 11, 2017 at approximately 3:26 AM.
The arrest occurred off Sam Black Road approximately 1 mile north of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that a female subject had apparently assaulted her mother.
When deputies arrived at the scene they observed this subject standing outside the residence hitting her mother through a window that she had busted out with her hand. This subject was also screaming and cursing and creating a disturbance there.
Following a short scuffle with deputies this subject was taken into custody and charged with: assault – fourth degree; alcohol intoxication in a public place; resisting arrest; disorderly conduct – second-degree: and criminal mischief – third-degree.
In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense.
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
