Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Daniel Grigsby and along with Deputy Shannon Jones arrested Timothy Leach age 37 of B Kentucky Ave., Corbin early Sunday morning January 15, 2017 at approximately 12:35 AM.

The arrest occurred on Ky 770, approximately 11 miles south of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that a male subject driving a black Dodge Ram 1500 pickup was allegedly under the influence and was at a residence causing trouble.

While deputies were en route to the area of the complaint, they located the suspect vehicle and observed that it had just been involved in a collision on Ky 770 near Adams road. The vehicle had apparently left the roadway and struck a rock wall and culvert causing it to lose the right front wheel.

When deputies arrived ,they observed this subject trying to drive the truck out of the ditch. When the driver exited the vehicle, he fell on the ground and deputies detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from this subject.

An investigation was conducted and it was determined that this subject was under the influence – he stated he had consumed fireball and beer before operating the vehicle.

Timothy Leach was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
