LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Sgt. John Inman along with Deputy Tommy Houston and Deputy Landry Collett arrested Nicholas J. Denny age 30 of Rockcastle County early Thursday morning July 30, 2020 at approximately 3:35 AM.

LONDON, KY (August 1, 2020) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Accident Reconstructionist Deputy Brad Mink investigated a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic fatality which occurred on US 25 near the intersection of Fariston Road approximately 1 1/2 miles South of London early Saturday morning August 1, 2020 at approximately 12:17 AM.

LONDON, KY (July 30, 2020) – A Somerset, Ky., man, Rodney Scott Phelps, 58, was sentenced to 108 months in federal prison on Tuesday, by U.S. District Judge Claria Horn Boom, for conspiring to commit wire fraud and committing wire fraud by perpetrating a complex Ponzi scheme. Phelps was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $2,437,875.30
