Assault arrest: Female in Kentucky allegedly struck multiple times & threatened being dragged out of house by hair of her head

LONDON, KY (November 30, 2020) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Dylan Messer along with K-9/shift Sgt. Gary Mehler and Deputy Travis Napier and Deputy Brent France arrested Franklin J. Hammack age 45 of London on Friday night November 27, 2020 at approximately 9:13 PM.

The arrest occurred off Wells Road approximately 3 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched to a disturbance complaint there.

Upon arrival at the scene deputies learned that allegedly this subject had struck a female subject multiple times. In addition, this subject had threatened to drag the female subject out of the house by the hair of her head.

Upon arrest this subject refused to obey commands given by deputies but was taken into custody.

Franklin Hammack was charged with:

  • Assault – 4th degree
  • Terroristic threatening – third-degree
  • Resisting arrest
  • Menacing
  • Public intoxication – Controlled substances

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
