A London, Kentucky man arrested after verbal argument escalates into a physical assault

LONDON, KY (November 8, 2020) - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's K-9/shift Sgt. Gary Mehler along with Deputy Dylan Messer arrested Daniel Pinckney age 23 of London on Friday night November 6, 2020 at approximately a 8:52 PM.

The arrest occurred off Yorkshire Estates approximately 2 miles South west of London after deputies were dispatched to a disturbance complaint there.

Upon arrival at the scene deputies learned that apparently a verbal argument had escalated to a physical assault where Pinckney allegedly assaulted another male subject there by punching the victim and grabbing the victim around his throat slamming his head into the wall in the hallway.

Deputies noted a hole in the drywall there.

Daniel Pinckney was charged with:

  • Strangulation – First-degree
  • Assault – 4th degree

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
