Driver Found in Possession of Suspected Heroin/Other Drugs during Traffic Stop in Laurel County, Ky.

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Justin Taylor along with Deputy Landry Collett, Deputy Tommy Houston, and shift Sgt. John Inman arrested Andrew David Jackson age 34 of Haynes Baker Road, Corbin early Wednesday morning November 4, 2020 at approximately 3:33 AM.

The arrest occurred off Highway 312 approximately 10 miles South of London following a traffic stop conducted on a silver Ford F-150.

During the traffic stop the driver was found in possession of:

  • Suspected Heroin
  • Pills
  • Suspected Marijuana
  • Several bags with residue.

Andrew David Jackson was charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Heroin
  • Possession of a controlled substance – third-degree
  • Possession of Drug paraphernalia
  • Prescription controlled substances not in proper container – first offense
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Rear license plate not illuminated

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
