LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Daniel Reed along with Deputy Travis Napier and Deputy Hunter Disney and Deputy Brent France arrested Herschell Steven Sullivan age 29 of Woodbine, KY on Saturday night October 31, 2020 at approximately 8:08 PM.
The arrest occurred off T. Cornett Road, approximately 13 miles southwest of London after deputies were dispatched to a burglary in progress.
Deputies were further informed that apparently a shot had been fired and that a male subject had attempted to break in to a residence not his own through a bedroom window.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies located the suspect hiding behind a bush and took him into custody without incident.
Deputies noted that subject appeared to be under the influence stating that his wife and children were in the residence.
Deputies noted that the residence was not his and that the homeowners did not know the individual.
Herschell Steven Sullivan was charged with:
- Attempted burglary – second-degree
- Criminal mischief – third-degree
- Menacing
- Disorderly conduct – second-degree
- Public intoxication – controlled substances
This subject was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
