Deputies Conducting a Drug Investigation Arrest Two at a Business in London, Ky.

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective James Sizemore along with shift Sgt. John Inman, Deputy Landry Collett, and Deputy Hobie Daugherty arrested two individuals early Thursday morning September 24, 2020 at approximately 4:42 AM.

The arrests occurred at a business off East 4th St. in London while deputies were conducting a drug investigation.

One individual was found in possession of Methamphetamine and another individual located there had outstanding warrants of arrest.

The two arrested individuals were identified as:

Roger D. Thomas age 49 of Boreing Dr., London charged with:

  • Possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Drug paraphernalia

This subject attempted to hide suspected Methamphetamine when he observed deputies there.

Joshua Minton age 33 of Willie Green Rd., London charged on a Laurel District Court warrant of arrest charging:

  • Assault – third-degree – police officer is victim
  • Terroristic threatening – third-degree
  • Disorderly conduct – second-degree -regarding an incident investigated by London Police Department Cpl. Troy Truett on May 11, 2020

In addition, this subject was charged on a Rockcastle District Court bench warrant of arrest charging:

  • Failure to appear in court regarding child support
