Pearl Smith, 84, of Clay County, passed away Tuesday September 24th, 2013.
He was the son born to the late Alex and Mary Smith on January 8th, 1929, in Knox County, KY.
He is survived by three children: McCoy Smith and wife, Mona, of Manchester, Beulah Chadwell and husband, Randell, of London, and Stelaphene Edwards, and husband, Marcus, of Boonville. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, one brother, Grover C. Smith, of Greensburg, IN, two sisters: Gladys Carr Edwards, of Manchester, and Cleo Stephens, of Columbus, IN, the following half-brothers and half-sisters: Amos Smith, Earl Smith, Evelyn Mainous, Leamon Smith, Jewellene Asher, and Ellen Smith, and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters: H R Smith, Irene Smith, Lorene Smith, and McCoy Smith.
Funeral services for Pearl Smith will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Britton Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow in the Swafford Cemetery at Buzzard.
Visitation will be after 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the Britton Funeral Home.
