Donald Short, age 40 departed this life on Friday, December 27, 2024. He was born on Tuesday, April 10, 1984 in Lexington, Kentucky to Carter Richard and Doshia Hoskins Short. He worked in construction and attended Tankersley Holiness Church.
He leaves to mourn his passing his mother: Doshia Short; his children: Darren Short, Tyler Short, Jayla Short, Kaiden Short and Colton (Short) McQueen; these grandchildren: Paisley Short, Waylon Short and Cohen Short. Also surviving are these brothers and sister: Richard Short, Travis Short, John Short, and Stephanie Peak.
He is preceded in death by his father: Carter Short.
Funeral Service for Donald Short will be conducted on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Brown Mission Church. Rev. Henry Lloyd Deaton, Harrison Hoskins and David Hoskins will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Ealy Cemetery in the Elk Creek Community.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Thursday, January 2, 2025 after 6:00 PM at the Brown Mission Church.
