Ms. Debra Lynn Hensley brought 66 years of kindness, beauty, and strength to this world before going to rest in the arms of Jesus on August 20th, 2024.
Deb devoted her life to the service of others. She spent two decades in her career as an EMT, regularly laboring 96 hours or more each week, not only to provide a better life for her family, but also because she truly loved her work, co-workers, and her patients. Her work ethic, perseverance, and resilience was unmatched and her love of life was infectious. Her joyful, carefree attitude was evidenced every single day and though she often carried the weight of the world on her shoulders, you would never see her stumble nor her smile ever fade. The only thing that Deb took greater pride in than her work was her family. On her own, she raised her daughters and went on to play a monumental role in raising her grandchildren. She loved tirelessly and unselfishly and though the void she leaves is vast, the legacy she leaves is far greater.
Ms. Debra Lynn Hensley was preceded in death by her parents, Margie Bishop Clark and Leroy Price, sister Angela Barrett Allcock and sister-in-law Linda Price.
She leaves to mourn her passing daughters Ronda Hensley and Sandra Hensley (John James), grandchildren McKenzie and Nate Davidson and Allison James. She leaves behind her brother, Kenny Price, nieces Brandy (Jamie) Napier and Melissa Preston, nephew Jamie (Michelle) Preston, as well as great nieces, nephews, fur babies, and work family.
Visitation for Ms. Debra Lynn Hensley will be held at Britton Funeral Home on Friday, August 23rd, 2024 from 12:00 pm until the time of her funeral at 3:00 pm. She will be laid to rest in the Mobley Cemetery in Oneida.
