Larkin Smith, Jr., 82, of Manchester, KY, passed away Thursday, August 1st, 2024. Larkin was born in Manchester, KY on October 2, 1941, a son of the late Larkin and Celia Ann Lawson Smith.
Larkin is survived by his wife, Inez Cox Smith; and his children: Syreda (Wayne Bowling) White, and Larkin G. (Toni Wagers) Smith, all of Manchester.
He is also survived by his the following brothers and sisters: Benny (Brenda) Smith of London, Ricky (Anna Sue) Smith of Barbourville, Vernon Smith of Manchester, Timothy Smith of Manchester, Louise Jones of Barbourville, and Amanda Senters of Barbourville; by his grandchildren: Talitha (Jay Henson) White, Tosha Smith, Dylan Bowling, and Richard (Lynsey) Busch; his great-grandchildren: Coralie Hicks, Xazier Busch, and Skylar Busch; and by a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends to mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Larkin was preceded in death by his son, Tony Randall Smith; his stepmother, Mattie Smith; the following brothers and sisters: Dennie Smith, Creed Smith, Johnny B. Smith, Judy Lawson, and Helen Kay Smith; and by his brothers-in-law: Ted Jones and J. E. Senters.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 5th at Britton Funeral Home, with Roger Miller, Paul Mitchell and Cecil Benge officiating. Pallbearers will be: Wayne Bowling, Dylan Bowling, Richard Busch, Jay Henson, Morris Minton, and Calvin Combs. Burial will follow at the Brown and Bingham Cemetery on Whites Branch Rd.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM on Sunday, August 4th at Britton Funeral Home.
