John J. Smith, Jr., 70, of Manchester, KY, passed away Wednesday, July 31st, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY. John was born in Manchester, KY on July 25, 1954, a son of the late John and Lillie Hubbard Smith.
John is survived by his children: Scotty Smith and wife Kayla, and Jody Smith and husband Wes.
He is also survived by his sister, Della Riley and husband P. G.; and his grandchildren: Dalton, S. J., Harlan, Landon, Olivia, and Noah.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters: Nettie Brumley, Philmore Smith, Janie Couch, Bill Smith, and Laura "Cookie" Henson.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 3rd at Britton Funeral Home, with Travis Dezarn, Lyle Sizemore and Paul Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at the Smith and Sizemore Cemetery on Caudill Gap Rd.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 3rd at Britton Funeral Home.
