Ruth Ledford Howard, 82 of Carlisle, Ohio, passed away on July 21, 2024. Ruth was born and raised in Manchester, KY. She was a kind and selfless woman. She enjoyed walks at her local park, Hallmark movies and QVC, her family affectionately called her the QVC Queen. She loved to cook and bake. Her fried potatoes were the best. If she wasn't enjoying a home cooked meal she would indulge in her favorite treats from Dairy Queen. Ruth's family was the most important part of her life. Her granddaughters knew her as Granny. She had a big heart and touched many lives.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, and her son, Ralph Edward (Eddie); her parents, Thomas and Bertha Ledford; her brothers: Everett, Cecil, TG, Carl, and Arlie; her sisters: Gladys Farmer, Hester Mosley, and Freda Couch; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews. Ruth is survived by her daughter-in-law, Kimberly Howard; her granddaughters, Rachel and Allison Howard; her brothers: Paul Ledford, Billy Ledford, and John Ledford; and her sister, Grace Arnold. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends. Ruth will be deeply missed.

Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Sunday, July 28th at Britton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Ledford Family Cemetery in Big Creek.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12 PM on Sunday, July 28th at Britton Funeral Home.
