Golden Jones, age 84 departed this life on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at the home of his daughter, Teresa. He was born on Tuesday, August 29, 1939 in Manchester, Kentucky to Marion and Ola Smith Jones. He was a coal miner for Shamrock Coal Company.
He leaves to mourn his passing his son: Terry Jones and Diedra, his daughter: Teresa Cooke and Ron, his grandchildren: Patricia Jones Williams and Damien, Robert Anthony Jones and Alicia, Daniel Morgan, Joshua Travis Gray, Tracy Jones, Bryon Daniel Gray, Teri DeAnn Jones, Calvin Griffin, LaTasha K. Gray, Justin Dwight Gray, Jessica Gray, Kristi Griffith, Austin Randall Jones and Jayden Jones as well as his great grandchildren: Tristan, Devin, Lilly, Madison, Ethan, Zachary, Cameron, Maci, Tanaya, Matthew, Zachary, Khloe, Hunter, Waylon, McKenzie and Fallon as well as 6 great great grandchildren as well as his sister: Ruby Hamilton, his nephews: Marty and Golden and his niece: Michelle.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Marion and Ola Jones, his wife: Henrietta Jones, his son: Anthony Jones, his sister: Dorothy Fryman and his great grandson: Jaython Hacker.
Funeral Services for Golden Jones will be conducted on Thursday, July 25, 20243 at 3 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Jonathan Coots, Golden Smith, Jr. and David Moore will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Polly Marcum Cemetery.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Thursday after 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
