James Foster Sizemore, 88, of Manchester, KY, passed away Tuesday, April 16th, at the AdventHealth Manchester Hospital. James was born in Red Bird, KY on December 11, 1935, a son of the late Jack and Gertrude Holland Sizemore. He was an electrician for 41 years for L & V Steel, and a coal miner. As well as a member of the Swafford Baptist Church, a member of the Kentucky Chapter of the American Chestnut Foundation, a member of the Kentucky Woodland Owners Association, and a member of the Southeastern Bee Keepers Association.
James is survived by his wife, Ethel Smallwood Sizemore; and his sons: Jimmie Sizemore and wife Leslie, and Donny Sizemore, all of Manchester.
He is also survived by his brother and sisters: Lewis Sizemore and wife Janice of Manchester, Vestie Ruth and husband Roy of Manchester, Lucy Burton and husband Boonie of Crab Orchard, Kathy Sizemore of Lowell, Indiana, and Helen Dick of Cary, NC; by his grandchildren: Hillarie Amburgey, Tabitha Combs, Hannah Couch, Haley Roby, Heather Sizemore, Silas Sizemore, Helena Nitz, and Jasmine Sizemore; and by 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters: Farmer Sizemore, Earl Sizemore, Gladys Sizemore, and Edith Parcel.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 22nd at Britton Funeral Home, with Jimmie Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow at the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday, April 22nd at Britton Funeral Home.
