Irene Reid, 95, of Manchester, KY, passed away peacefully Monday, March 18th at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY. Irene was born in Manchester, KY on September 8, 1928. She was the daughter of the late E.R. and Ollie Fraley Sparks.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband of 76 years, PJ Reid.
She is also survived by her son, Ronnie Reid and Wife Diana of Manchester, KY; her grandchildren: Holly Bailey and husband Sam of Hazard, KY, and Matthew Reid and wife Lora of Lexington, KY; her great-grandchildren: Samuel, Ana Grace, Benjamin, Lyla, and Parker, whom she considered the highlight of her life.
She also leaves her nephew, Tony Sizemore and wife Cathy, and her niece, Charlotte Sizemore, all of St. Cloud, FL.
In addition to her parents, Irene is preceded in death by her sisters: Ina White, Evelyn Keith, and Erma Sizemore and nephews: Charles White, Ervin White, Glenn Sizemore, Johnny Sizemore, and Michael Keith.
Family and friends will join together to celebrate her life at Britton Funeral Home on March 21st with visitation at 2:00 PM and service at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow at the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
