Milton Ray Smith, 83, of Manchester, KY, passed away Tuesday, January 30th, at the Barbourville Health & Rehabilitation Center. Milton was born in Hyden, KY on November 6, 1940, a son of the late Sherman and Mae Keith Smith. He was retired from the Daniel Boone Development Corporation, and he loved hunting, fishing, and being with his family.
Milton is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen Smith of Manchester; and by his children: Joyce Gallaher and husband Derek of Roebuck, SC, Loretta Smith and fiancé Dennis of Manchester, Martha Hubbard and husband Jerry of Manchester, Scott Smith and wife Crystal of Manchester, and Bobby Smith of Manchester.
He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Milton was preceded in death by his brothers and sister: Raleigh Smith, Alonzo Smith, Herman Smith, and Paula Sutton; and his son-in-law, Roy B. Smith.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 3rd at Britton Funeral Home, with Kenneth Jones officiating. Burial will follow at the Smith Cemetery on Hurricane Branch.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, February 2nd at Britton Funeral Home.
