Pryse Cornett, 86, of Manchester, KY, passed away Tuesday, January 30th, at his home. Pryse was born in Oneida, KY on December 22, 1937, a son of the late Hiram and Frances Nolan Cornett.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Collins Cornett.
Pryse is survived by his children: Pearl Cornett of Sevierville, TN, Samuel Cornett of Salem, IN, Hiram Cornett of Salem, IN, and Mary Cornett of Skull Branch.
He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and the following brother and sisters: Hiram Cornett, Jr. of Manchester, Evelyn Strunk of Milan, IN, Janie Dawes of Norwood, IN, Mary Wilson of Scottsburg, IN, Lorna Madden of Milan, IN, and Flora Jean Harris-Morgan of Salem, IN.
In addition to his wife and parents, Pryse was preceded in death by his daughter, Elsie Bishop; by his grandchildren, Kent Barger and Mary F. Cornett; and by the following siblings: Arnold Cornett, James Cornett, Alfred Cornett, Lewis Cornett, and Pearl Cornett.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 5th at Britton Funeral Home, with Todd Hicks officiating. Burial will follow at the Hensley-Ulysses Creek Cemetery in Bear Branch, KY.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday, February 5th at Britton Funeral Home.
