Stephen Conrad "Connie" Keith, 81, of Manchester, KY, passed away Tuesday, January 30th, at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, KY. Connie was born in Oneida, KY on October 16, 1942, a son of the late Steve and Maude Langdon Keith. He was a member of the State Legislature for ten years, a retired school teacher, a computer specialist, a farmer, a social worker, and the "Hay King" of Clay County.
Connie is survived by his wife, Mary Campbell Keith of Manchester; and his children: Stephen Keith and wife Tommie Collins of St. Louis, MO, and Nedrah Stagner and husband Kevin of Tennessee.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Emma Keith, Jane Keith, Evelyn Keith, Anna Tomlin, Peyton Stagner, Greyson Stagner, and Addison Stagner; his great-granddaughter, Emmeline Tomlin; and his brothers and sister: Charles Keith of Manchester, Greene Keith of London, and Lynn Chestnut of Manchester.
In addition to his parents, Connie was preceded in death by his sisters: Sue Hacker, Lawanna Owens, and Janet Seal.
Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 4th at Britton Funeral Home, with Ken Bolin and Barry Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow at the Young Cemetery on Island Creek.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 4th at Britton Funeral Home.
