Mable Wagers Roy, 90, of London, KY, passed away Monday, January 8th, at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Corbin. Mable was born in Manchester, KY on September 7th, 1934, a daughter of the late Frank and Alice Eversole Smith.
Mable is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin L. Roy.
She is survived by the following children: Loretta Napier of London, Patty Jenkins of London, Wilma Combs and husband Patrick of Manchester, Faye Dewar of London, Kevin Roy, Jason Roy, and Edwina Roy.
She is also survived by the following grandchildren: Brian, Angela, Nathaniel, Brent, Trisha, Craig, Shane, Ashley, Katie, Jennifer, Daronda Shell, Sarah Beth, and Amy; by her sister-in-law, Nancy Smith; as well as a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mable is preceded in death by her three daughters: Charlene Smith, Imogene Wagers, and Deronda Mills; she is also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Herbert Napier; and by the following brothers and sisters: A.T. Smith, Luther Smith, Delbert Smith, Lola Smith, Bertha Wagers, Dorothy Smallwood, Edna Smallwood Hoskins.
Services for Mable will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 13th, at Britton Funeral Home, with Dave Balmer and Tabitha Wagers officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
Visitation for Mable will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 13th, at Britton Funeral Home.
