Joseph Lee Harris, Sr. age 92 departed this life on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at the St. Joseph Hospital in London. He was born on Thursday, December 25, 1930 in Greenville, Alabama to Charlie Harris and Fleather Cheetham Harris Gregory. He was a truck driver and a coal miner.
He leaves to mourn his passing his children: Judy Walker and husband Billy of Corbin, Peggy Diane Walker of Manchester, Joseph (Skippy) Harris, Jr. and wife Dana of Nashville, TN, Jeannie Yvonne Harris of St. Mary, Georgia, Fleather Lyttle and husband Joe of Manchester and Albert Elwood Harris of Whitley City, Kentucky and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Charlie Harris and Fleather Cheetham Harris Gregory, his son: Michael Lee Harris and these brothers and sisters: Viollie Mae Williams, Elizabeth Dees, Willie Harris and Charlie Harris.
Funeral Services for Joseph Lee Harris, Sr. will be conducted on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Donnie McKissic will be presiding. He will be laid to rest in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Tuesday, December 19 after 12 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
