Billie Jean Bishop, age 89 departed this life on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at the AdventHealth of Manchester. She was born on Wednesday, October 17, 1934 in Manchester to Holt and Kizzie Barrett Hensley. She was a retired cook for the Landmark of Laurel Creek.
She leaves to mourn her passing her children: Linda Byrd and husband Carl Gene, Leonard Bishop and Gail Yvonne Bishop, her grandchildren: Darren Jordan Bishop, Ashley Nicole Napier and Amber Natasha Marker, her great grandchildren: Ashton Napier, Jacob Tipton and Braelynn Marker as well as her brother: Carl Hensley.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Holt and Kizzie Hensley, her brothers: Robert Hensley, Albert Hensley and Bige Hensley and her sisters: Janet Fetch, Hazel Daughtery, Mary Catherine Couch, Bessie Fiscus, Leslie Hensley and Bertha Hensley.
Funeral Services for Billie Jean Bishop will be conducted on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 1:30 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Joey Burns and Bro. William Hugh Hudson will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Squire Hensley Cemetery in Oneida Community.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Thursday after 12 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
