Ben Jackson, 78 of Asher’s Fork, KY, passed away November 30th at his home. He was a member of the Indian Grave Branch Church. Mr. Ben Jackson was born on July 14, 1945 to the union of Kelly and Margret Jackson of Goose Creek.
Mr. Jackson was a coal miner in occupation but more importantly he was a husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Mr. Jackson was proceeded in death by his parents Kelly and Margret Jackson, and by the following brothers, Roy Jackson, Coy Jackson, Hearld Jackson, Lonzo Jackson, Ernest Jackson, and SA Jackson, and by the following sisters, Virgie Street, Christine Jackson, Zilpha Jackson, and Opal Jackson.
Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kathleen Jackson and his 4 kids, Rodney Jackson, wife Monica of Manchester, Ernie Jackson of Asher’s Fork, Christy Smith, Husband Alvin (Buzz) Smith of Asher’s Fork, and Jason Jackson, wife Gina of Island Creek.
He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Ashley Spivey, Steven Jackson, Olivia Riggs, Allison Gray, Austin Jackson, Jacob Smith, Hunter Jackson, and Logan Jackson. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Jackson also leaves behind 1 sister, Creasie Messer or London, and a host of other family and friends.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, December 3rd at the Indian Grave Branch Church, with Kenneth Jones, Reggie Jackson, and Dale Downey officiating. Burial will follow at the Ben Jackson Cemetery on Asher's Fork.
Visitation will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, December 2nd at the Indian Grave Branch Church.
