Robert Lee Curry, 88, of Manchester, KY, passed away Saturday, October 7th, at the Landmark of Laurel Creek Nursing Home. Robert was born in Clay County on May 9th, 1935, a son of the late Charlie and Willa Mae Lethgo Curry. Robert started the first bakery in Manchester. He then later opened another bakery in London. Then retired a few years later. Robert also worked for the Regal Belting Company.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Marie Curry.
He is survived by the following children: Robert D. Curry and wife Darlene of Manchester, Travis Curry and wife Melody of London, Joyce White and husband George Wayne of Manchester, Lisa Combs of Corbin, KY, and Christina Curry of London.
He is also survived by his brother, Carl Curry of Manchester and sister, Maggie Allen of Mayfield, OH; as well as the following grandchildren: DeWayne White, Wesley White, Crystal Curry, Josh Curry, Shannon Curry, Whitney Smith, Cody Jarvis, Samuel Curry, Caroline Curry, and Tristan Curry.; he also leaves behind 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Ricky L. Curry. As well as his brothers, Paul Curry, Orie Curry, and Bernette Curry.
Services for Robert will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 10th, at Britton Funeral Home, with Bradley Brock officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be his 6 grandsons.
Visitation for Robert will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, October 10th, at Britton Funeral Home.
