Richard Grubb, age 62 departed this life on Thursday, September 7, 2023, in Illinois while at work. He was born on June 13, 1961, in Columbus, Ohio to Nyoka and Carlius Grubb.
Richard was a truck driver for the Old Dominion Freight Line and has driven trucks for most of his life. He enjoyed relaxing at home when he wasn’t working. He loved keeping up with his friends and family while out on the road.
Richard leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of 15 years, Melanie Estep, and their daughter, Harleigh Grubb of Manchester, KY. His daughter Rebecca Torres of Corbin, KY, his sons James Grubb (Christy Harville) of London, KY, and Joshua Grubb of London, KY. Richard also leaves the following grandchildren to mourn, Richard Paxton Marion, Heaven Leigh Torres, Emma Grace Torries (Rebecca), Jamie Robinson, Aubrey Brock, Trenton Harville, Aubrey Harville, Brianna Harville, and Kylie Harville (James). As well as their special fur baby, Milo.
In addition, his mother Nyoka Grubb and the following brothers and sisters: Needius Grubb, Allen Grubb, Shawn Grubb, Deborah Grubb, Connie Livermore, and an honorary sister Diane Smith. As well as his driving partner and honorary brother, Ron Fedrick.
He was preceded in death by his father Carlius Grubb, and his loving grandparents Allie and Lee Smallwood, who raised him.
Funeral services for Richard Grubb will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Britton Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Monday evening September 11, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Britton Funeral Home.
