Valgene Hacker, 86, of Oneida, KY, passed away Sunday, August 27th, at his home. Valgene was born in Manchester, KY on April 27, 1937, a son of the late Emery and Cinda Burns Hacker.
Valgene is survived by his wife, Rachel Gibson Hacker; his sons: James David Hacker and Roger Hacker; and his daughter, Violet Davidson and husband Michael, all of Oneida.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Emily Hacker and significant other Zachary Jackson, Morgan Hacker, Dylan Hacker and wife Natosha, and Michael Scott Davidson; his great-grandchildren: Dawson Jackson, Isabella Hobbs, Devin Hobbs, Aaliyah Smith, Emery Hacker, Anna Beth Hacker, and Jaxston Davidson; and by his brother and sisters: Marvin Hacker of Oneida, Carolyn Shepherd of Leslie County, Fannie Mae Stewart of Oneida, Martha Hensley of Indiana, Juanita Smith of Indiana, and Penny Seals of Oneida.
In addition to his parents, Valgene was preceded in death by his brothers and sister: Raymond Hacker, Frank Hacker, and Violet Frost.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 31st at Britton Funeral Home, with Jonathan Owens and George Davidson officiating. Burial will follow at the Hacker Cemetery in Oneida.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, August 30th at Britton Funeral Home.
