Fern Hoskins Byrd, 76, of South Lebanon, OH, passed away Sunday, August 6th, at her home. Fern was born in Island City, KY on August 9, 1946, a daughter of the late Chester and Rhoda Peters Hoskins.
She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. Fern was a dedicated homemaker who dearly loved her family. She enjoyed gardening, canning and spending time with family and friends.
Fern is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Lenzie Byrd of South Lebanon, OH; and by her sons: Randy (Amanda) Byrd of Lebanon, OH, and Larry Byrd of South Lebanon, OH.
She is also survived by her brothers: Elmer (Anna) Hoskins of Island City, and Gerald (Doris) Hoskins of Vincent, KY; her grandchildren: Matthew Byrd, Lauren Byrd and Montanna McGlothin; and her nieces and nephews: Dale Hoskins, Gary Hudson, Sandra Garrett, Junior Hoskins, and James Hoskins.
In addition to her parents, Fern was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters: Earl Hoskins, Leon Hoskins, Shirley Hudson, and Christine Hoskins.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 12th at Britton Funeral Home, with Scotty Witt officiating. Burial will follow at the Hoskins Cemetery in Sextons Creek, KY.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, August 11th at Britton Funeral Home.
