Ima Jean Tyree was born on October 9, 1935 in Laurel County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Jimmy Grimes and Mollie Buckles Grimes. She was united in marriage to Eugene Tyree of London, Kentucky.
She is also survived by two children, Willard Tyree and wife Chrystal; Danny Tyree and wife Tammy all of London. She is survived by six siblings: Wanda Proffitt of Indianapolis, Indiana; Ada Tyree of Greenfield, Indiana; Bobby Grimes, Ralph Grimes, Roger Grimes Sr. all of London and Claude Grimes of Florida; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. She is also preceded in death by three children, Linda Sue Tyree, James David Tyree and Robert Donald Tyree; two siblings, Harold Grimes, Sr. and Russell Grimes.
Ima Jean worked at Microdevices and was a member of Pittsburg Holiness Church.
Ima Jean Tyree departed this life surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, December 11, 2021 being 86 years, 2 months and 2 days of age.
Funeral services for Ima Jean Tyree will be conducted at 11 am Tuesday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Mullins, Bobby Helton and Brad Parrett officiating; burial will follow in Pittsburg Cemetery.

The family of Ima Jean Tyree will receive friends beginning at 6 pm Monday at Bowling Funeral Home.
