Ruby L. Reed, 85, of Manchester, KY, passed away Friday, August 13, at the AdventHealth Manchester Hospital in Manchester. Ruby was born in Elida, OH, on February 20th, 1936, a daughter of the late Merlin Good and Ester Brunk Good.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Reed of 54 years.
Ruby is survived by her son, Terry Reed and wife Tracy of London, KY, and The following brother and sisters: Edwin Good of Columbiana, OH, Evelyn Kurtz (Ira) of Lancaster, PA, Twila Miller of Hartville, OH, and Elnora Yoder (Orvin) of Middlebury, IN.
She also leaves behind one daughter-in-law, Bonnie Reed, and the following grandchildren: Janet Reed Osborne and husband Roger, Jonathan Reed and wife Catherine, Rachel Johnson McQueen and husband Chris, and TeRae Reed Baker and husband Andrew. As well as 9 great-grandchildren: Olivia and Beckham Osborne, Kyree Swafford and Nolan Reed, Rhema, Ephraim, Aamoriah Selah, and Torah McQueen.
In addition to her husband and parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her son Gordon Reed and by one great-grandchild, Keaton Osborne.
Ruby was a member of the Horse Creek Holiness Church, a dedicated employee at Cumberland River Behavioral Health, a former Oneida Elementary Employee, a former School bus driver for the Clay County Board of Education, and she retired from PNC Bank where she spent 27 years in banking.
Services for Ruby will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 18th, at Britton Funeral Home, with Chase Whitis, Jacob Fisher, and Terry Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, August 17th, at Britton Funeral Home.
